Along Ericeira’s rugged coastline and Praia dos Pescadores, this retreat agenda weaves together surf sessions, relaxed team workshops, and sunset dinners in the village center.
Ericeira is known for its laid-back coastal atmosphere and strong surf culture, making it a good fit for teams that want to disconnect from busy cities. It offers ocean views, fresh air, and a slower pace that naturally encourages focus and connection.
The closest airport is Lisbon Airport (LIS), about 30 minutes by car. Most teams arrange private transfers directly from the airport, which makes arrival smooth even for larger groups.
May to June and September to October tend to offer the best balance of weather and fewer crowds, with temperatures around 18–25°C. Summer is lively and great for beach activities, while winter is quieter and more suited for focused offsites.
Most of our teams stay within or close to Ericeira’s town center for walkability, ocean views, and easy access to restaurants. For quieter setups, some accommodations just outside town offer more privacy while still being within a short drive of the main areas.
Surf lessons are the highlight, as Ericeira is a World Surfing Reserve. Other options include coastal hikes, yoga sessions, seafood dinners by the ocean, and day trips to nearby Sintra.
The compact size of the town makes it easy to balance both. Teams can have focused sessions in the morning and shift to outdoor or social activities in the afternoon without complex logistics.
A 3 to 4 day retreat is the most common format. This allows time for work sessions, surf or outdoor activities, and relaxed group dinners.
Ericeira offers a much quieter and more nature-focused experience compared to Lisbon. It’s better suited for teams that want fewer distractions and more time together in a coastal setting.
Ericeira is known for its seafood. Teams often enjoy grilled fish, local wine, and group dinners in oceanfront restaurants, along with more casual meals in surf-style cafes.
For remote teams, Ericeira provides a setting that encourages bonding through shared experiences. In our experience, teams we’ve hosted here often connect quickly thanks to the informal and relaxed environment.
We got incredibly positive feedback. Many people said it was the best offsite we've ever had. So that's obviously the most important thing from like an organizational point of view. It was super nice working with you guys. I really enjoyed it. It was the first year we had an agency like you guys on board and it did really help, especially now having a much bigger team.
We did send a survey to everyone after the event. And the feedback was very positive. Everyone loved the hotel. People were saying that the food at the venue was very good, which I agree with. The rooms were great. The meeting space was perfect for us. Obviously the beach and the area were perfect. I think it was a great location for our team. There were some people that said this was the best summit they’ve attended.
The feedback has been impeccable. Everybody loved the hotel, loved the staff, loved the support from Surf Office, everything. All the expectations were, you know, not even just met, but went beyond. We loved the way we were taken care of.
The overall feedback was really fantastic. Everybody really liked the venue. They really liked being in the same location. We had a wonderful partnership and we’d love to work with you again.
We walked into it anxious. We walked away from it absolutely amazed by the results. It was so well organized. I would never have been able to do that alone, you pulled that off entirely. It was amazing. The team is buzzing! It blew people away. It definitely blew us away.
I was stressed out before the retreat cause I never did the planning. As soon as we arrived to the hotel, they knew everything and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Big thumbs up to the Surf Office team for the general flexibility, and for the communication.
It was absolutely perfect. There wasn’t one thing that I can criticize. We had a fantastic time, really really good. It went so smoothly, everybody was very happy. Anybody that asked now about how the offsite went, I just say: “It was amazing, you only can use 1 company, you don’t need to use anybody else”.
